COMMUNITY WORK

​

For the past 5 years Dorothy has worked in informal settlements and in rural Mpumalanga and Limpopo under the auspices of SANCTA. She works with 120 people of all ages on 12/14 weekends a year.

 

She has adjudicated the PANSA scriptwriting Festival and the Zwakala Festival in Gauteng and done workshops preparing community groups for the Zabalaza Festival in Capetown.

She has now trained more than 10 interns to help on these weekends.

 

CORPORATE SECTOR TRAINING

 

Dorothy is available for private coaching of CEOs, managers and general staff in the Corporate Sector. Most recent contracts have been with staff across the board at Carnival City and at Medupi Power Plant; these workshops dealt specifically with teambuilding and upgrading of communication skills.

 

In half or full day workshops,   all aspects of communication are dealt with in greater or lesser detail.

Freeing the physical body

Breathing for the able communicator

Resonance – improving the tone or timbre of the voice

Placing and projecting the voice

Articulation and clarity of thought

Confidence building

Emotional release work when necessary i.e. when free communication is compromised

Dialect coaching and achieving a good neutral accent in English - optional

 

Prices of workshops depend on the number of individuals attending and are available upon request.

 

It is recommended that people in senior management take the private sessions on offer.

 

All work outside of Gauteng will require transport to be provided
